Porky pesto burgers

We like burgers a lot. These are easy and taste yummy.

You will need:
400g pork mince
a few spring onions (maybe 4)
two tablespoons of pesto
some burger buns and salad

1) chop the spring onions small.

2) put in a mixing bowl, and put in the pesto:


3) add the meat:

4) Mix it all together and roll into burger shapes




5) fry for about 4 minutes on each side, or until they are ready (you might need an adult to do this). Then put them in your bun and eat them.

Easy Chocolate Fairy Cakes

Makes about 6 cakes

You will need:

60g/2 ozs self-raising flour minus 1 tablespoon
1 tablespoon cocoa powder
60g/2 ozs butter or margarine
1 egg
icing sugar for decoration

1) Measure the butter and sugar then mix it together.




2) Crack the egg  into a small bowl and beat with a fork.


3) Add the flour and cocoa powder into another bowl.


4) Mix the eggs with the butter and sugar mixture and then add the flour and cocoa powder.


5) Put into cases.


6) Bake for 15 to 20 minutes.


6) We decorated with icing sugar.





7) Eat them!



My Favourite Pasta Dinner

This is my favourite dinner that I make myself. I have been practising with a tin opener.

You will need:

1 tin tuna
cooked pasta
1 small can sweetcorn
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
ground black pepper
(serves 2 children)

1) cook the pasta & put it in a bowl


2) open tins


3)  put the tuna &sweetcorn in the bowl with the pasta


4) add the mayo


5) mix it all up


6) season it with what ever you like  (not with salt I like it with pepper!)



Easy puffy tart

This is a very easy apple and blackberry tart that is very yummy.

You will need:
1 sheet ready-rolled puff pastry
2 large cooking apples
a few handfuls blackberries
some flavoured syrup, or butter and sugar

1) Warm your oven up to 200C/400F/Gas Mark 6. Roll out your pastry on an oven tray with baking paper on it:


2) Peel and chop the apples and put them on the pastry with the blackberries:


3) Pour some syrup over the top. (If you do not have syrup, you can make some by warming up butter and sugar in a pan – you might need help with this):


4) Put it in the oven for about 20 minutes:


5) Eat it! Then it will be yummy, scrummy in your tummy.
